Hanging out with the stars sounds like it would be expensive, but in Boston, you can do it for free! Okay, so we’re not talking about the celebrity set, but it’s still a fun way to spend an evening and catch a glimpse of planets and constellations you couldn’t see on your own. Every Wednesday night at 8:30 (weather permitting), visitors can come to Boston University’s Coit Observatory for a glimpse of planetary paparazzi. Located less than ten minutes from our South End hotel, the Observatory lets aspiring astronomers put their eyes on the skies and learn a bit about star-gazing. It’s free and open to everyone, just keep an eye on their twitter feed for updates a few hours beforehand to make sure it hasn’t been cancelled due to poor viewing conditions.
