An Ice Day for Skating

Winter in Boston means that the beloved Frog Pond in Boston Common has been frozen over and is now open for ice skating! This outdoor rink is a favorite among visitors and locals alike, allowing skaters to enjoy the beauty of the park and city skyline as they circle the rink. Located just five minutes from our Boston hotel, the Frog Pond also features fee Wi-Fi and a café full of delicious homemade items like Belgian waffles, mac and cheese, tomato soup and more. The rink is also host to exciting events year-round, like the upcoming Skating Spectacular as part of the First Night Boston festivities (how Boston celebrates New Year’s Eve). The Skating Spectacular is a free figure skating ice show headlined by national and international competitive figure skaters, immediately followed by a fireworks show in the Common. So go hit the ice and take part in a classic Boston pastime.
